From humble beginnings to greatness, and from rejection to acceptance, only the grace of God can take you there.
—— Preacher, Teacher & Counselor
Pastor Joseph Colin Wilson began his pastoral ministry in his hometown of Linden, Guyana. During his youthful years, God called him out of obscurity and anointed him with the Holy Ghost and with power. He first served as the senior pastor of Fruits of Calvary (AOG) Church from 1993 to 1999, then as senior pastor of United Vision of Truth Ministries in Toronto, Canada, from 2006 to 2012.
Pastor Colin – as he’s affectionately known – is married to Patricia – the love of his life. Together, since August 1987, they have proudly raised four “knights”: Jesse, Joel, James, and Jose. He and his wife are also the proud grandparents of two girls, Arianna and Imani.
God uses His prophets to speaks to the nations, but more specifically to His people. Pastor Colin is a prophet called by God to herald the message of the Kingdom of Christ to this generation. Therefore, with this mandate, he declares the Word of God in the power of the Spirit.
Evangelism & Outreach
The church or congregation eventually becomes a mission field when it fails in its mandate to evangelize. Because evangelism is the engine of church growth, we must recognize the lack of mobility with it. How can faith arise in the hearts of men without hearing the Word of God? Moreover, how can they hear without a preacher or evangelist?
Pastoral leadership consists of the roles of provision, protection, and priesthood. Therefore, a pastor needs to lead, feed, and protect the sheep. Jesus – the Good Shepherd – looked at the multitudes and saw them as sheep having no shepherd. Thus, in His closing dialogue with his disciples, He instructed Peter to “feed my sheep.”
Pastor Colin is a conference speaker whom God uses to encourage His people. Because we are a chosen generation, we must remember our priestly calling. Furthermore, we are to remember the rewards of our calling. Therefore, let us stay focused on fellowship, worship, teaching, and communication.
